Before few months, we have planted a garden in our backyard and we were very happy to make it lively. I was very happy to see the first full grown snow pea. But along with the plants in the garden, there are some of the unavoidable guests. Yes there are many garden pests came and they have given additional decoration to our plants by drilling holes on it.
So I have planned to destroy them in a natural way. Yes, I planted marigold and hot peppers. But it still need some more vigorous action to destroy them. So I took the neem oil out of my stockpile. I have read somewhere that these neem oils have tremendous power to destroy the pests and will act like a natural insecticide, miticide and fungicide.
Neem oil have the following features: Great insecticide to destroy mites, insects, whitefly, etc. Controls fungal diseases, black spots, rust, etc. It is very easily and quickly bio degradable with the help of sunlight within few weeks into the soil. They are not toxic too to be mixed up in the soil. I have mixed rosemary and lavender to the neem oil to improve the smell as rosemary and lavender are also a kind of pesticides.
Here is the formula: 1 gallon water + 2 tablespoon neem + 1 teaspoon rosemary + 1 teaspoon lavender. You can also mix couple tablespoon of phosphate free fluid dishwashing liquid. Mix it well and spray on the branch of the plants through sprayer. The Sprayco spray bottles are made of recycled materials can be used and that will offer jobs for handicapped persons.
